Velodrome Visit
The HCC are planning to visit the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Velodrome later this Autumn. If you would be interested in a taster session, please let us know by adding your name to the list. This is not a commitment just to gauge interest. Dates, costing's will follow:
Message from Bob Ten:
I have agreed to start making arrangements for a visit to the Velodrome. The most suitable type of visit would be a one hour Taster Session. The cost would be £30.00 per person which includes bike and helmet hire (if yours doesn't comply with British Standards). Their bikes are fitted with Look Keo pedals which will not accept other cleats. If you do not have Look Keo cleats you can hire shoes but this will incur further rental costs.
The day and time will be crucial to most of you. Sunday afternoon or evening has been suggested and is what I will probably aim for unless there is a majority of riders who prefer an alternative. To give people time to arrange their commitments I suggest a date in late Sept/early Oct....again unless there is a majority of alternatives.
I can make a block booking of eight riders in one application.
Please can those of you who are interested add your names to those above. There is no commitment at this stage (but there will be later when I start making firm arrangements). Please pass the word around to other club members.
For further information you can look at their web site.....http://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/
