We are pleased to announce we have secured x2 1 hour sessions at the Olympic Velodrome at the Queen Elizabeth Park

Date is 8th Oct 14 Time: 4pm

Track Taster Sessions – Stage 1

Each session will have 8 members, so in total we have only 16 places

Due to demand, places will be reserved on a first come first serve bases. To secure you chance to ride the boards our GB Team rode on, you need to get your name and money to Steve at Aerocycles. Sorry but no money, means no place.

The cost is £30, but ALL members will only have to pay £20, as the club will contribute £10 towards each members costs.

Please look at the t&c's and information below.

Lee Valley VeloPark is where Team GB triumphed on the track during the London 2012 Games and is made up of the iconic Olympic velodrome, the remodelled 390 metre Olympic BMX track, five miles of mountain bike trails and a one mile road circuit.

Essential information

Please arrive and report to Lee Valley VeloPark reception 45 minutes before your activity is due to start – late arrivals will not be able to ride and will not receive a refund.

Riders participating in Track sessions are required to have their shoulders covered and provide track mitts or gloves.

Children under 16 participating in any sessions e.g. General Taster Sessions, Youth Taster Sessions, skills sessions, pay and ride must bring a signed Parental/Guardian Consent Form with them to be able to participate in their session.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Riders must be capable of riding a bike without stabilisers to use the venue’s trails, track and circuits.

Please take the time to read our Terms and Conditions.

How to get here

Lee Valley VeloPark is at Abercrombie Road, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 3AB.

We strongly recommend travelling by public transport to Lee Valley VeloPark, allowing plenty of time to get to the venue. Please plan your journey ahead of your visit to check for any planned closures or engineering works.

For more travel information please check our plan your visit page.

Bike hire / bringing your own bike
You can hire bikes at the venue if they are not already included in the cost of your activity. However, if you wish to bring your own bike please bear in mind restrictions on public transport.

For more detailed information see the relevant links on our plan your visit page.

We look forward to seeing you,

Lee Valley VeloPark team

Further to the above:
1) As mentioned before, their bikes will only take Look Keo cleats. If you don't have them or cannot beg, borrow or buy some, trainers are acceptable. You can also hire a pair of shoes at a cost of £6.00.
2) Payment to Steve must be either in cash of cheque made payable to H.C.C. as this is a club event and cannot go through Aerocycles books.
3) Once payment has been made it is not refundable unless YOU find a replacement. We don't want to be in a position where someone cancels a day before and expects a refund...otherwise I will be out of pocket.
4) When booking and paying please give your height to Steve as the Velodrome need this information for getting the correct size bike for you.
